Schools.Tools provides a comprehensive listing of potential skippers and an efficient process to make the most of your time in following up.

Our script searches the previous days period attendance and pulls out all of the students who were recorded as present and unexcused in the same day. We then offer a link for each period, that when clicked, sends an email to that teacher asking them to confirm their records.

Listed by grade, cohort, community or alpha... all students recorded as present and unexcused the same day.

Click the present link to send the teacher an email request to confirm student was present and that it wasn't a recording error.

Click absent link to send the teacher an email request to confirm student was not present BEFORE meeting with the student.

Select checboxes for all suspected skipping that have teacher confirmation to print call slips for these students.

Schedules pulled up and sent to Word for printing for all those checkboxes that were selected.

After you've received the confirmations simply check the checkboxes for the appropriate students and call slips are printed for you with the student schedule including teacher/room and the destination.

With this process when the reporting student says that it was simply a teacher recording error you've already heard back from the teacher that their attendance has been confirmed. It also doesn't waste time in calling down students who were actually present while reinforcing the expectation for the accurate recording of attendance.
