Please take a moment to review the frequent questions below, related to instructional supports, before contacting us directly to answer yours.
Can the SIP Walk Through Tool be changed to include our specific metrics and language?
Yes, we are happy to modify the forms/fields/stats to fit your specific requirements.
What is the purpose of the Classroom Structures Tool?
The tool allows the user to take an inventory of their classes/perceptions in order to recommend an optimal level of classroom structures for their group.
In the Engagement Tool, how are the results shared to the user?
Both the observer and the observed receive an e-mail with a breakdown of the percentage of student engagement, the ratio of positive to negative interactions, numbers/types of disruptions and opportunities for student responses.
Can the Engagement Tool be used peer to peer, or is it limited to just administrators and instructional support specialists?
Yes, this tool can be made available to all staff or limited to any group on your campus.
Is there any data collected with the Engagement Tool?
This is, as well, a function of your intent. We can include the data collection/display piece or it can be eliminated if you find the peer to peer method is most used if the only record of the interaction is the e-mail
Is the Teacher Grade Distribution Tool accessible by the teacher, and is it populated by the previous quarter/semester grades?
Grade distribution is viewable by the teacher and administrators. It is built on current active grades so that teachers/support can get ahead of any growing issues before the grades are finalized.
What is the purpose of the Missing Grades Tool and is it viewable by the classroom teacher as well?
In most schools there are individual teachers who struggle to enter grades in a timely fashion which makes those supporting their students very frustrated. The report prints out their percentage of missing grades per class, should be run regularly at the beginning of each grading period and is viewable by the teacher.
